Wrong Fuel Recovery
Today we had wrong fuel removal Birmingham Solihull as Land Rover driver had misfueled car and put 2o litres of petrol in land Rover diesel engine. He realised his mistake and did not start the engine thank goodness.
He caused a lot of congestion at the pumps but there was no way he was going to drive the car away and couldn’t push it without turning the key to ignition status to release the electronic handbrake. Driver decided to hide round the corner to save embarrassment, but this was not necessary as a lot of drivers do such kind of mistakes. So do not feel embarrassed or guilty.

He explained that he turned key to accessory mode but the break would still not release. As the first what we advised was NOT TO TURN THE IGNITION KEY as it would pump fuel and prime the system. We sent out a mobile fuel drain unit to help him immediately.
Usually we reach Birmingham Solihull area within 35 minutes, but this time one of our mobile wrong fuel drain units was just 15 minutes away finishing wrong fuel removal work, so we arrived after 20 minutes to do the wrong fuel recovery and to put Land Rover driver back on the road.
We drained the wrong fuel Birmingham without removing the tank, cleaned out all fuel lines and added clean fuel. Started the car without any concerns and doubts. Driver was very happy as he was back in his car after short while, calling his wife to confirm that he will be on time to dinner.
