The obvious objective behind fuel
injector cleansing is to eliminate the buildup contaminants as well as fuel
varnish deposits that block fuel injectors and leave adverse effects on their
operation. Periodic cleaning is needed for optimal operation. Mechanics suggest
cleansing fuel injector once a year or every 20,000 to 30,000 miles is good for
engine health.

Cleaning fuel injector is also
important if you have placed wrong fuel in your car i.e. diesel in petrol car
or petrol in diesel car. Regular cleaning of fuel injector improves your
vehicle’s functionality and engine’s performance, reducing emissions and
improving fuel economy.

A good thing is you can clean
your fuel injector by yourself even without any help from an auto mechanic. However,
expert’s help may feel important if the injector is clogged very badly. Here
are a few methods of injector cleaning.

expert’s help may feel important if the injector is clogged very badly. Here
are a few methods of injector cleaning.
Method 1: Use particular kits
These kits are easy to avail at
any car supply store. At first, find out the exact location of fuel injector
and then adopt proactive measures to prevent fuel from getting into the
injectors. There are two ways to do that either bypass fuel injector or use
tubing so that fuel comes back to car tank. After it is done, you need to
disconnect fuel pressure regulator.

disconnect fuel pressure regulator.
Now you need to connect your
cleaning kit to the car fuel input part and then eliminate fuel cap of your
vehicle tank to release pressure in the same. Next open your cleaning kit’s
valve until its pressure valve is equal to injection pressure value (your car
manual will have a clear mention of that figure).

After the cleaning kit gets the
exact necessary pressure value, turn on your engine as it will cause cleansing
solvent to pass from the kit via injector and thus, remove debris and dirt from
clogged fuel injector. It will not take much of time but just a few
minutes. After it is done, turn off the
engine before removing the kit and reconnecting fuel pump, fuel lines as well
as fuel pressure regulator.

Now you are done with your
cleansing job. Significant differences in your car performance won’t escape
your attention following clean-up.
